It seems like yesterday when I heard that my friend was gone. Al was a man who made a great impression in my life. I still tell stories of all the fun times we all ha racing with the boys. He has been greatly missed by all. He can be very proud of his boys as they have turned out to be really remarkable men and fathers. You and Gail did a great job.

As time marches on and we grow older. Our children have left the nest so as a parent we look back into our numerous pictures taken through out life, and there you are. Always is see Al, Gail, Pat, Matt and of course my son Brian. Al you and Gail were always there for my son and I at motocross. Just doing what you did best helping everyone out. You never said much as I would stand there looking and wondering what next here would come Al to save my day. You never said a thing just jumped right in fixed the bike and said get one the line Brian and away you went to stand behind your boys. I look at my memories of those days and wish that every young boy or girl could have someone like you and Gail to look up too. Al you are thought of often with much love and missed very much

I have great memories of the times I was together with Al although they were too few and short times. He had a great sense of humor and we shared a lot of the same interests for adventure and life. I will miss him and his family is in my thoughts always.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Alan's passing. Although I hadn't seen him for many years, the memories of our friendship and our dirt-bike exploits in Kittery and Eliot in the seventies are still with me. Al was a great person with a great heart.

My heart reaches out to all who knew Al especially his sons and family. I remember Al loving to drive around Portsmouth in his car playing "Pink Floyd" as loud as we could stand it in the back seat and just hanging out with the Coleman and Wernsdorfer girls at our house. But mostly, I have a picture of him (and always will)-dark hair, T-shirt, jeans and this great smile.

To my nephews and the Toulouse famiy, Your father was one of the best peoplle anyone could ever know. He was such a kind hearted soul. I remember in HS riding around in his Ford whatever model, and of course his Mustangs, I thank he and Wendi for taking care of Freddy while I went out on a 3 day oil tanker trip that turned into 33 days. Our most vivid memory of Al is at the wedding shower at Green Pond 25 years ago when he patiently opened gift after gift of crystal and silver items (girlie things). At one point he tore the paper off a box and saw on the ouside a picture of a garden sprayer and his face lit up. Unfortunately it was just the box used to wrap another appropriate "wedding present". We will miss him and we wish Gail the best in dealing with such a difficult time.

Gail,Matt and Pat,
My first memory of Al was of a quite man standing at the end of the bar at the Cartier club he never said a word except to order another drink. He was still there and sure did scare me as I thought he was waiting for me to close the place? So I called my boss and described him to her and she said don't worry he is family. Then came NEMA and I met Gail and the boys. So much fun and happy memories of us all together. This is how I will always remember Al. Some one willing to help another and taking great pride in his boys and Gail.
My thoughts are with you all

To my beloved nephews, Mathew and Patrick,
Your father was bigger then life to me as a 12 yr old when he came into my life. I can tell you without a doubt I am here today because of him and the path he set me on. I didnt see him as much as I would have liked but after all these years he is still bigger then life to me.
Your father was an amazing man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
