Andrew Martinez Tapia

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Andrew Anthony Martinez Tapia, at the age of 25. He left this world on February 14, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Born on May 27, 1999, in Phoenix, Arizona, Andrew had an affinity for firearms, Arizona history, music, and video games. He could beat an entire game in just one day. He spent most of his schooling years in Tucson, Arizona, and his passion for unconventional learning gave him a deep understanding of the world around him.
Andrew was known for his fierce loyalty and protection of the people he loved. An old soul, he always preferred the company of older adults and had little patience for small talk, he thrived in deep, meaningful conversations. He never placed importance on material things and would give away anything he had if it meant helping someone else. His quick wit, generosity, and tech-savvy nature touched the lives of so many, and his presence was a gift to everyone who knew him.
He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Maritza & Antonio; his older brother, Jose Angel; and his soulmate, Stephanie, along with many cherished extended family members. He is now reunited in peace with his Tata Ernie Tapia, Tata Antonio Martinez, and many beloved Tios and cousins.
A Celebration of Andrew's Life will be conducted on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at noon at the Salazar Family Church in Aravaipa Canyon, the home of his ancestors. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.
For those unable to make the journey to Aravaipa, a balloon release memorial will take place on March 1, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., at South Mountain Preserve in Phoenix, Arizona. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and pay their respects. All are welcome to attend both services.
