Annie Dell Lee took her journey up on the King's Highway on Thursday (November 14, 2013). Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday (November 25, 2013) at the St. James Church of God in Christ. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Annie Dell Lee was born June 27, 1928, to her proud parents Willie and Annie Lee (Norwood) Newsome, deceased. Annie Dell moved from Kingfisher, Oklahoma, to Winfield, where she attended school. She married the love of her life of 27 years, Theodore Lee, Sr. To this union four children were born. Katy Mae Lee, Theodore Lee, Jr., both deceased. Annie did house cleaning and ironing for many years. She was born Baptist, but when she came to Kansas, she, through the relationship of marriage, she became a member of St. James AME Church. In 1980, she joined St. James Church of God in Christ was elected "Church Mother". She was homemaker and mother for her husband and children, she also cared for neighborhood children as mother/grandmother to all she met. She is survived by her daughters Debra Jean and her husband Timothy Webb, Terry Lynn McIntosh, sister Ruth Mae Newsome, 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, several God Children, a host of relatives and friends. A memorial has been established to assist with funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are being made through the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com
