Nadine and I were sorry to hear of Austin's passing. He and I first crossed paths in the late 70's at Energizer (then Union Carbide) in the Asheboro II Molding Room under a whirlpool dropping a dry mix, as we worked together in that part of the plant. Our Energizer paths diverted until we worked together as plant managers at the St. Albans (Austin) and Bennington, VT plants in the mid-to-late 90's. I remember working with Austin as we met with our plants' electricity supplier, asking them to reduce costs. I enjoyed working with, and respected Austin, for his dedication, professionalism, and positive attitude. Our thoughts are with Nona and the family as you move ahead in this difficult time.

Shannon and I are deeply saddened to learn of Austin's passing. A true gentleman, I am grateful to have many fond memories of Austin that remain vivid ... to name two: our hot dog lunches on the steps of Willey's Market and the grin that Austin would flash at just the right moment. I am disappointed in myself for allowing days to turn to weeks, and then months and years, without connecting with Austin. I regret letting this happen. Another unfortunate reminder to reach out to friends and family while we can. The world lost a great and kind soul. Nona and Family, heartfelt condolences. We will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Steve and Shannon Prumo

We are so sorry to hear of Austin´s passing. We worked with him in Bennington, Vermont and he was always a true gentleman. I remember traveling with him to Westlake one time, and as we were sitting in the Albany Airport, Joe Theisman walked by and Austin was so excited. It allowed me to see a different side of him. Prayers for your family.
