Obituary
Barbara Whitehouse Davis passed away at home on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Barbara was born in Warren, Ohio to the late Lewis and Mina (Mackey) Brook on January 5, 1942. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1959. She married Thomas William Whitehouse in 1960. Bill passed away in 1971. She later married Edward Davis in 1980.
Barbara worked as an ophthalmologist technician for Summit Ophthalmology for many years. She was an avid seamstress and made many of her own clothes, purses and vests. She made many beautiful quilts for her relatives and friends. She belonged to the Needlework Guild at Stan Hewitt Hall. In her younger years she was active in 4-H with her children. Another thing Barbara loved was to go fishing. She fished for Muskie in Canada for 1 week every year. She also went fishing for Walleye in Lake Erie and for Tuna off the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
Barbara will be greatly missed by her husband Ed, sons, Shawn Whitehouse, Brian (Katrina) Whitehouse, and William "Bill" (Mary) Whitehouse, grandchildren LeeAnn (Reyko) Delpino, Michael Whitehouse, Marisa (Zach) Adelman and great grandchildren Reyko, Allie, Justice, Noah and Blair, and brothers John (Jan) Brook and Elton "Mac" (Florence) Brook. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas William Whitehouse.
Calling hours will be on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home
15670 W.High Street, Middlefield, Ohio. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday October 10, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Kaser officiating. Barbara's final resting place will be at Hillside Cemetery in West Farmington immediately following the service.
