Bennie Mae Dewberry Logan was born on October 5, 1944, to Bennie Dewberry and Vera Dewberry in Mount Pleasant, Florida where she grew up as the third of ten children.
Bennie enjoyed being around people. She worked as a clerk at the Municipal Court then later worked in the medical field as a ward clerk at the Doctor's Hospital and Saint Francis Hospital. She also did private duty cases too. When she is not working she enjoys cooking, she is known for her cornbread dressing, brown beans, seven beans, and cornbread. But most of all, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
On June 20, 2023, Our Heavenly Father called her home and she went peacefully in the comfort of her own home.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bennie and Vera Dewberry, her baby sister, and her first granddaughter DanKyeshia Jones.
Bennie leaves to cherish her memories, her four children: Karla (William) Galloway,
Broken Arrow, OK; Howard Jones, Tulsa, OK; Shubarbara Jones, Arlington, TX, and Earl H. Jones III,
Frisco, TX; 6 grandchildren Robert Jackson, Howard Jones II, Houston Jones, Chala Jones, ShaQuan Jones, and Lavel Jones; 3 great-grandchildren TayShawn Jones, Kyrie Jones, and Raleigh K. Jones; 5 sisters Irene (John) Leonard, Geneva Ferrell, Lula McNeal, Dorothy Caldwell, and Ethel Ross; 3 brothers Ben (Nita) Dewberry; Charles (Beatrice) Dewberry, and Roy (Angel) Dewberry.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who all miss her dearly.
