Beryl Harrison Obituary

Beryl Harrison

Beryl Harrison, of Fredericksburg, Va., born on January 5, 1932 in Halifax, England, surrounded by her loving family, passed away on May 18, 2025. She and her husband Gerald - who preceded her in death - emigrated to America in 1957. They raised their family in N.J., where she also worked as a floral designer for 15 years. They retired to good times and golf in Wilmington, N.C.

Beryl attended Bradford Art College and was a colorist for carpet and textile manufacturers in Manchester and Halifax. Events she especially enjoyed included many family and friend gatherings, times with her Tea and Crumpets UK 'sisters', services and events at St. George's, and socializing with other residents of Chancellor's Village. She also enjoyed reading the daily newspaper, doing crosswords puzzles, word games, and Scrabble. One of her greatest joys was her achievement, at 72, of a hole-in-one.

Cherishing her memory are her grateful children, Jane Harrison, Richard Harrison (Susan), Jeremy Harrison, Rebecca Brindley (David); and grandchildren William, Mitchell, and Emma Harrison, and, Beryl and John Brindley.

A celebration of Beryl's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at St. George's Episcopal Church, 905 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg, Va.
