Amazing wife, mom, gramma, sister, aunt and master at the art of crochet. She lived and breathed for her grandkids!! She loved dressing up for Halloween, Easter or any other holiday; just to make it special for her precious grandkids.
Bette never met a garage sale she didn’t like. She had a knack for finding “treasurers” in the most unusual of places. Stopping off at a few sales and a quick run thru at her local Target was all in a day’s adventure for Bette. She could always make people smile by simply giving them one of her adorable winks. Quirks are what make people special and gives them personality, and Bette had hers. They included late night cups of Folgers coffee, ice in her wine, scissors, scissors and more scissors, her strange obsession with Vicks Vaporub, her love of yard sales and heating pads and if anyone needed any holiday lawn decorations Bette had you covered. In addition, she made the world’s best dish scrubbies!! Bette loved her cats and spoiled them nearly as much as her grandkids. She was one of the good ones, honest, fair, compassionate, considerate, loving, caring selfless and simply amazing! Love you Mom! We miss you already.
Bette was preceded in death by her husband Arnie; sisters Mary Sundholm, Nancy Everson; father-in-law and mother-in-law Clarence (Elizabeth) Zimmel.
Bette is survived by her loving family: children Shelby (David) Howe, Michael Ascher, Sara (Jarred) Ehrenberg; grandchildren Ethan and Hunter Howe, Dreyden and Lukin Ascher, Gavin, Addison, Ellie Pool; brother-in-laws: Clarence (Jean) Zimmel; Lenny (Diane) Zimmel; sister-in-laws Mildred (John) Simonson and Loretta (Jim) Newman; other relatives and friends.
