Betty Jo Antwiler, age 90, of Caddo, OK passed away on December 10, 2024, in Denison, TX. She was born to Eva Marie and Floyd Everette Yates on October 19, 1934, in Blue Ridge, TX.
She married Ralph Woodrow Antwiler (she called him Woody), in October 1958. Together they raised seven children, one son and six daughters.
Through the years, Betty worked for State Farm Insurance Company, owned and operated Colonial Flower and Gifts in Frisco, and worked in banking for many years. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Frisco for 51 years, until she moved to Caddo in 2009, where she joined Caddo First Baptist Church.
Betty was strong in her faith and was a devoted follower of Christ. She prayed daily for her loved ones and friends. During her recent hospital stay, one of the first things she asked for was her Bible, so she could keep up with her daily reading.
Betty is survived by her son, Doug Antwiler of Texline, TX; and her daughters: Glynda Thompson of Richardson, TX; Vonnie Salguero and husband Mario of Dallas, TX; Debbie Barnes and husband David of Celina, TX; Kathy Blackmon of Anna, TX; Sue Lowrimore of Sherman, TX and Patty Howard and husband Eli of Sherman, TX. She has fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Lonnie Yates, her two sisters Melba Barnett and Patsy Broyles, two sons-in-law, Kenny Lowrimore and Allen Thompson, and her grandson Paul Barnes.
Visitation will be held 12:30 to 2:00 pm on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire, Dr. in Frisco, TX 75033. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 pm.
