Betty Bergeron Gautreaux

Betty Bergeron Gautreaux passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 86. The beloved wife of the late Donald J. Gautreaux, Sr. for 36 years. Mother of Naomi Autin (Clayton), Duane Buras (Patty), Shawn Buras (Diana), Paul Buras and the late Edward Buras, III, (Penny), Torey Buras, Leon Buras, and Robin Whalen (the late Tim). Step mother of the late Dale J. Gautreaux (Dawn),and Donald J. Gautreaux, Jr. (Juanita). Daughter of the late Rita and Ferducy Bergeron. Sister of the late Marion Bergeron, Philomena Bergeron, Claire Scofield, Shirley Talamo, Leo, Burke, and Roland Bergeron. Also survived by 30 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a devoted Christian, loved her home by the water and visiting with her St. Stephen's classmates. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Des Allemands, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11am.
