Betty L. Kansa passed away peacefully on Sunday December 4, at Beeghly Oaks Care Center at the age of 71, Betty was born May 5, 1945 in Youngstown the daughter of George and Helen (Anderson) Lape and was a lifelong area resident. She worked at Goodwill Industries as a Contract Helper for several years. Betty was a member of Wedgewood park Evangelical Congregation and enjoyed playing cards and word puzzles. Her husband George Kansa whom she married November 9 1966, passed away December 2, 1995. Betty leaves two children, Keith Kansa of Struthers and Amy Kansa and her companion Michael Fountin, of Youngtown, one granddaughter Amber Mae Kansa of Struthers, one great grandson Samuel, two sisters Naomi Marrow of Los Vegas, and Gladys Gelatt of New York, and her good friend Karen Snyder. Besides her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by two sisters, Elenore Petory and Rhonda Jackson and two brothers Robert Lape and Robert Rorhbaugh. There were no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wedgewood Park Evangelical Church in Betty's name.
