I am just now learning of the death of Betty Jo. I did not know about Hoyle either. I am so sorry for your loss. I know your pain but what a lovely thought that we will see them again. She and my mother were such good friends and my mother always spoke of their good times together in Strayhorn. Prayers for all of you in the days ahead.

Frank and girls, so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was such a professional as a teacher and always meticulously dressed-not to mention the great personality. An honor to serve on the faculty with her at HHS.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your sweet mother. I never had her as one of my teachers at HHS but I know she was loved by all of her students. Please know that I am thinking of you and your brother, Frank. May God comfort you all and give you His peace in the upcoming weeks.

I can barely spell chemistry, and in high school I was beaten and humiliated by it, but being in the classroom with Mrs. McWhorter was worth every minute of it. She was the epitome of what a teacher and a human being should be. She made a positive impact in my life, and I know she did in countless others. Thank you, Betty.
