Obituary of Bonnie L. Bailey
Bonnie L. Bailey, age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet. She was born on April 30, 1957 in Joliet to the late Robert and Diane McLaughlin. She was a Joliet area resident for most of her life, working at Eagle Foods in New Lenox and Naperville for many years, as well as Food 4 Less. She met her second husband Arvin through mutual friends and the two eventually moved to Missouri. There Bonnie opened up a resale business, and made many friends through church. She returned to the Joliet area to be near her family as she battled cancer, which she did courageously for many years.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 15 years, Arvin Bailey; her two sons, Robert (Erin) Weiss and Rick (Erin) Weiss; her seven grandchildren, Jaxon, Adyson, Weston, and Aston Weiss, and Gavin, Dylan, and Peyton Weiss; her sister Sue (Randy) Peck; brothers, Robert (Ileana) McLaughlin, Gary (D'Ann) McLaughlin and Leslie (Dee) McLaughlin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Connie; and former husband and dear friend Theodore Weiss.
In lieu of flowers, donations to would be appreciated.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and private family services have been held. Inurnment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C.
