I would like to correct an earlier condolence which I wrote regarding Brian. His room mate at UVA was Clint Smoke. I suppose Brian was weighing heavily on my mind at the time!

Brian lived across the hall in LeFevre House at UVA when I was a 1st year man there in 1958-59. His room mate at the time was Brian Blades. We were not close friends, but I remember him as being a very nice fellow. I also remember that he had a 1955 Thunderbird with spider webs painted on it in strategic places! So sorry to learn, so late, of his passing.

I have fond memories of Brian and Bonnie. I knew and worked with Bonnie in Silver Spring before they were married as well as when she worked at MITRE. Bonnie I hope you are doing well.

My father, Roger T. Blades (b.1913, d. 2003) was a cousin of Brian Brewer Blades, MD(d.1976,) who was the father of Brian L. Blades. My name is Brian Hunter Blades, b. 6 July 1950 and still alive in April of 2005. I met BLB("Happy")only once,in 1961, when he had just turned 21. I regret now that I hadn't seen him in 38 years (!) when he died.
