Carol Rose Lester

Carol Rose Lester, age 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 9, 2024 at O'Neill Healthcare, North Olmsted, Ohio. She is survived
by her four children Linda (Bill) Barker, Gary (Teresa) Lester, Teresa (Steve) Kane, Brenda (Brett) Mullinix; 11 grandchildren Michael (Melissa)
Barker, Katie (Jeremy) Mills, Jonathan Barker, Lizz Barker, Aaron (Shana) Lester, Amber (Aaron) Urich, Emily (Todd) Alderman, Sara (Shane)
Roberts, Rachel (Steve) Szklarz, Brittney Brown, Mikey Brown; and 13 great-grandchildren, Ethan Barker, Mackenzie Barker, Daniel Lester,
Daylon Lester, Brady Lester, Kelsey Urich, Kimberly Urich, Brock Urich, Luke Alderman, Devin Alderman, Jack Roberts, Cameron Szklarz and
Sadie Szklarz.
Carol was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 64 years, Aaron Grantison Lester. Carol had a large family of four brothers
and four sisters and is survived by her younger brother Thomas and many nieces and nephews.
She cherished being a proud Grandma and Great-Grandma and her family was precious to her. She traveled all over the world during her many
vacations with Aaron traveling to Bermuda, The Bahamas, England and the many trips they took to Amsterdam. She also lived in Japan while
Aaron served our country in the United States Army.
She retired after a prosperous career at the Norfolk and Southern Railroad where she was a rate specialist. This was well before the computer age
and she was very precise and meticulous at calculating out freight costs.
Her later years were spent at O'Neill Healthcare where she made many friends and participated in the many activities that were offered. She
enjoyed visiting her brother who also lived there and tending to her many flowers and plants that she decorated her room with.
She will be missed for her loving dedication to her family and also for her many funny words and phrases she liked to say that were spoken in her
families' native Hungarian.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Busch Funeral Home and a private committal service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National
Cemetery in the spring of next year, date to be determined.
