Carole A. O’Reilly, age 77 of Lockport, IL, returned to the Lord in peace after an extended battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on September 12, 2025. Carole was born in Chicago, IL on January 15, 1948 to her father Philip Phistry and her mother Ethel Phistry (née Donofrio).
Carole was a loving mother, and a devoted wife and best friend to her husband of forty-four years, Tim. She worked for many years as the Manager of the cosmetic’s department at the J.C. Penney location in North Riverside, IL. After which, she accepted a position as the Assistant to the Vice President for Bernina of America. Upon her retirement, Carole moved to Phoenix, AZ and volunteered her time in service of Abate of Arizona. Over time, she was elevated to the role of Lead Designated Lobbyist for the Abate of Arizona Association. Carole spent countless hours at the Arizona state capitol, lobbying on behalf of Abate for motorcycle rights bills to provide for the protection of motorcycle riders and motorcycle safety laws throughout Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her father Philip Phistry; her mother Ethel Panozzo; her stepfather Endo Panozzo; her daughter Angela K. Dusterhoft; and her brothers Thomas (the late Joan) Phistry, Robert Phistry and James Phistry.
Carole is survived by her husband of forty-four years Timothy F. O’Reilly; her children Victoria L. (Thomas) Faldani, Matthew R. (Kelly) Dusterhoft, and Amber (Jarod) Moore; her brother Philip (Gina) Phistry; and her sisters-in-law Kay and Pat Phistry.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Thursday September 18, 2025 from 4:00 pm until a Chapel Service at 7:00 pm at Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL 60435. All guests are invited to return to Tezak’s on the morning of Friday, September 19, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am for closing prayers. Guests are welcome to attend Carole’s interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd. Hillside, IL 60162, where a brief Chapel Committal Service will be celebrated at 12:30 pm.
