Carolyn Helms Fowler

Carolyn Mae Helms Fowler, 91, of Monroe, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 16, 2023. She was born in Union County on June 19, 1931, daughter to the late Joe Lee Helms and Myrtle Crowell Helms. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years Harold Nance Fowler as well as her brother James Helms and sisters, Doris Hinson and Helen Barnhardt.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110 with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
Carolyn is survived by her son Andy Fowler wife Janet, daughters, Ann Maness husband Tommy, Kathy Knight husband Terry, and Cindy Baucom husband Kelvin, brother Paul Helms, sisters, Juanita Godfrey and Sarah Swink, grandchildren, Jeremy Maness, wife Ashley, Carol Tadlock husband Chuck, Kelly Burris, husband Shawn, Marshall Knight, wife Andrea, Kyle Baucom, wife Jessie, great-grandchildren, Olivia Whitley, Ellis Tadlock, Aubrey Tadlock, Jackson Burris, Cloie Burris, Landon Baucom, Makenzie Baucom, Miles Baucom, and Raylan Knight, as well as a fur grand-baby Cobey.
Carolyn loved her Lord and loved her family dearly. She loved her Sunday School Class and was an active member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Lakeview Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 4602 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110, or Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
