Born September 03, 1933, in Colquitt County, GA. Died October 13, 2023 at Aviva, Valparaiso, IN.
Jeanene for many years, served in and faithfully attended New Hope Church in Hobart Twp., and later at Eastlake Baptist Church in Hobart, and finally at Grace Baptist in Portage. She loved getting Paul to fill her yard with beautiful flowers, and feed all the birds and squirrels.
She was an accomplished cook and became renowned with her brassy whit. She battled many illnesses over the years including 7 years of increasingly debilitating dementia. Even with her handicap she would give her friends, family, and helpers a run for their money, and give all her neighbors stories to tell. We, the family are eternally grateful for all who helped her and loved her during times of her fears and struggles. Her family dearly misses her and loves her.
Visitation for Jeanene (Carolyn) will be held on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 at Edmonds and Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave.,
Portage, IN 46368, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Service will begin at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Dwaine Tilford of Eastview Baptist Church in Franklin, OH at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Heritage Cemetery.
