Ms. Carrie Woods

Ms. Carrie B. Woods was born September 18, 1948, in Athens, Alabama. She departed this life on September 3, 2022.
Ms. Carrie B. Woods matriculated through Athens City School system, where she attended Trinity High School.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was faithful member until her health failed.
She liked to travel to see family members. It made her happy just to sit in the car and ride.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Lester and Robert Lewis, and daughter Deborah Woods Baker.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three sons: David Woods, John Wayne Woods (Vanessa Johnson), and Eddie Woods (Carla Hill) all of Athens, AL; granddaughters who were raised as her daughters: Rita Woods, Ciera Woods, and Skylar Woods, all of Huntsville, AL; a grandson: Corey Woods of Huntsville, AL; one sister: Joann Woods of Athens, AL; one sister-in-law: Adele Woods of Louisville, KY; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends; and special friends: Elmer Moseley of Chattanooga, TN, and Cora Lee Bone of Huntsville, AL.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church (803 Westmoreland Ave, Athens, AL 35611 with Reverend Mondell Hunter officiating. Interment will be in the Thatch-Mann Cemetery. Mrs. Woods will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2022 and 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Royal Funeral Home- Mason Chapel in Athens, AL.
