Charles Edward Buckner

Charles Edward Buckner, 93, Springfield, MO. passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. He was born in Willard, MO. to Ben and Velta Buckner. Charles grew up in the Willard area, where he graduated from Willard High School. After graduation, he worked with his dad at the Brown Bottling Company. Shortly after working for his dad, he joined the United States Marines and was stationed at El Tora in Santa Ana, California. After being honorable discharged, he returned back to work with his dad and then later working for Pepsi, where he retired. He loved to fish, hunt and travel.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol Buckner, and one sister, Carolyn Johnson. Charles is survived by his two sons: Larry Buckner and his wife, Paula, and Bob Buckner and his wife, Brenda, one sister, Betty Kennemer, four grandchildren and one grandchild. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends.
Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022 with Randy Martin officiating, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
