Charles E. Holmes Sr.

Charles E. Holmes, Sr., 65, of Easton, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, at his home.
Born July 21, 1958, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late John Henry and Flossie L. (Shingles) Holmes.
He and his wife, Rita A. (Comstock) Holmes, celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on November 21, 2022.
Charles was an expert contractor, specializing in masonry and finishing work.
He loved his family. Charles was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and music.
Charles was of the Baptist faith.
He was a member of Lester W. Pfeffer American Legion Post 611, Wilson Borough.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children, Charles E. Holmes, Jr. and his wife Leeann, of Easton, Aimee M. Mills, of West Chester, PA and Jermaine R. Mills, of Zionsville; four brothers, Larry Holmes and his wife Diane, of Palmer Township; Robert Holmes and his wife Wanda, of Williams Township, Jacob and Mark Anthony Holmes, both of Easton; three sisters, Pearl Holmes and Redell Hurst and her husband Roger, both of Easton and Antoinette Holmes, of Allentown; eleven grandchildren, Shyrah, Oasis, Odonis, Jaylen, LeeAnna, Syncere, Yadyn, Trevon, Peyton, Nicholas and Gabriel; two great-granddaughters, Ahmara and Naomi; numerous nieces and nephews, with special thanks to Mark Holmes and Robin Simmons, Junior Holmes, Seneca Rogers and his wife Meghan, and Isaac Holmes; also, "Jim Daddy" Smith and his wife Mel, who were brother and sister of his heart. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, John Henry, Jr.; Perry, Floyd and Leander Holmes.
Services will be held at 11am Tuesday in Revival Fire Ministries, 927 W. Berwick Street, Easton. Call Tuesday 10-11am in the church. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com
