Charles Massey Obituary

He was born and raised in Logansport, Indiana, living in Browns Mills since 1986. He was a graduate of Logansport High School, and proudly served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War,and was the recipient of the purple heart achieving the rank of Sgt. 1st class before retiring after 22 years.
Chuck was very active with the youth in the community serving as a Boy Scout Troop leader, coaching Babe Ruth Little League Baseball, Central Burlington County Girls Fast Pitch Softball, umpiring and refereeing as well. Every summer Chuck and several others would take a group of little league players camping and to Williamsport for the Little League Word Series.
He was a member of the Browns Mills United Methodist Church serving the youth ministries and many youth's mission trips.
He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Heather Jean McGill in 2010
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Rosana Massey; a daughter Jennifer Jo Phillips; 2 sisters Carolyn Appleton and Margaret Mathis; grandchildren Kyle Fenimore, Kyrsten Campfield, Joseph Campfield, Theresa, Joseph, and Elizabeth Phillips.
A visitation will be from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Rd, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. A service will follow at 12:30 pm, at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his memory may be given to Chucks' wife Rosana Massey.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Moore Funeral Home, Browns Mills, NJ. Condolences for the family may be left at www.moorefuneralhome.com
