Chris was born December 12, 1978 in Kearney, NE to Dennis and Connie (Warta) Larsen. Raised in Kearney, Chris attended Kearney High School, graduating in 1997. He went on to attend UNK where he earned degrees in Industrial Distribution and Construction Management. On April 21, 2006, he was united in marriage to Sarah Bongle in Las Vegas, NV. After starting his career in construction management, his family moved back to Kearney. For the past ten years, Chris worked as a Senior Construction Project Manager for The Buckle, where he thrived in traveling across the country building and renovating Buckle retail stores.
A devoted husband, father, son and brother, Chris loved his family above all else - especially his wife Sarah and children Grace, Cole, Ellie and Jase. He was a bedrock in their lives. Most evenings and weekends Chris could be found with Sarah cheering along at his children's sporting events and passions. Chris was endlessly proud of their academic achievements and flourishment. Family time was always the highest priority and they loved spending time in Wisconsin with family at the lake, watching movies, playing games and grilling with friends and family.
A quiet, steady pillar of strength for everyone in his family, Chris was well-known by close friends and family for his quick-witted humor and perfectly timed jokes. He cared about others immensely and was always willing to help, no matter how challenging or technical the problem. He was a leader in his profession, and had a wide range of skills and ensured every project done meticulously.
