Christopher Thomas Grant

Christopher Thomas Grant returned to his heavenly father on January 25, 2025, after a courageous but brief battle with leukemia. Chris was born July 1, 1969. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry W. Grant and his brother, Kenneth W. Grant. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Ann (Alvey) Grant, a sister, Catherine A. Grant, 2 nieces, Ashley A. Grant and Parker M. Hadder, one and only nephew, Logan K. Grant and 2 great-nieces, Ella Lanham and Delilah Grant, former sister in law and lifelong friend Artie (Adair) Bell. Chris had defeated a long battle with addiction and as his mother fought her own battle with dementia, he became her sole caregiver, her hero, and best friend, caring for her until the day he was hospitalized. He was a gentle soul who loved animals. He was a great storyteller and a prankster with a wonderful sense of humor, and he will be greatly missed. His nieces Ashley and Parker were always his true happiness and the smiles he had with them were real. ;) We will always be your sweet peas. Visitation will be held at Ratterman Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Drive, Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11am-7pm with service following right after. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the funeral home.
