Clancy Rose, 42, of Houston TX, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, January 13, 2003 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Saturday, January 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 Church St., St. Joseph, with Father Robert Johansen officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 ? 9pm, Friday, January 17, at Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Clancy was born on October 18, 1960 in Lafayette, IN to Terrence and Maralyn (Wolf) Rose. Clancy graduated from Lake Michigan Catholic School in 1979. He went on to graduate from Hillsdale College, and was an ?All-State? in football.
Clancy is survived by his mother ? Maralyn Rose; three sisters? Kymberle (Tony) Peugh, of Orlando, FL, Tami (Gary) Robertson, of Coloma, Kelly (Greg) Basham, of Louisville, KY; brother - Timothy (Laura) Rose of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brother-in-law Tony Smith; nephews and nieces Terrence and Jonathan Peugh, Billy and Karly Basham, and Dawn Wesner.
He is preceded by his father Terrence Rose and sister Stacy Smith.

Clancy lived across the hall from me at Hillsdale College. He was as great a friend as a person could ever have. I have very fond memories of him, and was saddened to hear of his death.
