In the wake of July 29,2024, Clarence Eugene Bunn gently and peacefully slipped into eternal rest. Joey, affectionately known by family and friends, was born in Brooklyn, New York at Long Island College Hospital on February 14, 1953 to the late Cecelia Irene Anderson Bunn and William Edward Bunn. Growing up during the summers when school ended in New York, Joey came to Maryland to live with Daddy Charlie and Momma Hattie. He helped Daddy Charlie with the gardening chores and spent time helping Mr. John Albert Harris as well. Eventually the family moved to Maryland where Joey attended Aberdeen High School and a culinary arts school. He later began employment at Bethlehem Steel from which he retired. He was later contracted by Parks Moving and Storage and was a well known vendor at the Joppatowne Amish Market where he loved to talk to all of the people passing by. Joey was the 4th oldest of nine children. At a young age they attended Union United Methodist Church and John Wesley United Methodist Church in Abingdon, MD. In 2016, Joey joined Word of Life Fellowship Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. James G. Smith in Aberdeen, Maryland.
