Clifton Lee King Jr. was born in Chapel Hill, NC on May 14, 1966, to Ethel Lewis King and Clifton Lee King.
He was educated in the Onslow and Orange County school systems.
He enjoyed a variety of activities as a young child. Summertime, his favorite time of year, was spent fishing with his dad, playing with his little sister, Nakia, and playing school with his aunt, Kokeita.
From a young age and throughout his lifetime, he was blessed with a heart full of joy, love, and kindness. He never met a stranger, and his passion was working with his hands and helping people. Most of his life he worked in facility maintenance and repair for hotels and apartment complexes. He was a hard worker. He often repeated what his grandmother, Estelle, told him. "If a man will not work, he shall not eat" (2 Thessalonians chapter 3:10). He loved collecting all types of automobiles, riding motorcycles, like his dad, spending time with family, traveling with his fiancée, Beverly Alston, and watching movies.
He accepted the Lord Jesus as his savior and joined Victorious Praise Church in 2013.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Lee King; grandfathers, Eric King and Joe Lewis; grandmother, Elizabeth Lewis; and brothers, Clinton King and Tamares Eubanks.
Memories of his loving kindness are left with his fiancée, Beverly Alston; his children, Joshua Denny (Keisha), Brandon King; and grandchildren, Christian, Evan, and London; mother, Ethel Lewis King, sisters, Nakia King, Keisha Sutton, and Torra King; grandmother, Estelle King Rayner; aunts, Kokeita Miller (Randy), Judy Robinson (Rev. Christopher Robinson), Johnsie Hart (June); an uncle, Hassan Sabir; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
