Constance Lynn Mast

Constance (Connie) Lynn Mast, age 63, of Wooster, Ohio made a peaceful passing on August 28, 2023 after a 6 month journey with cancer.

 

Connie was born on February 2, 1960 in Orrville, OH to the late Victor and Geraldine (Geiger) Moser. She was raised on a farm in Orrville, OH and graduated from Waynedale High School in 1978. She attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University and received a Bachelor of Mathematics Education and Business Management. She received her Special Education Certification through Akron University.

 

She was a high school mathematics teacher for 25 years, first for 5 years in Navajo Nation, Arizona and then for 20 years with Wooster City Schools at Boys’ Village. She owned and operated Nice as New Consignment Fashions in Wooster for 7 years. Upon retirement she worked for Home Instead as a home care giver.

 

Connie married David Lynn Mast on May 22, 2004 and they remained devoted and loving soulmates throughout their life together.  She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren (Roslyn, Tegan, and Naomi), taking care of her elderly clients, thrift shopping, reading, and gardening.

 

Connie is survived by her husband Dave; her daughter Erin of Nashville, TN; her three step children: Caleb (Allison) of Powell, Kendra of Wooster, and Kent of Wooster.  Her siblings: Margorie Robinson of Wooster, Jaquelin Rudd of Leesburg, FL, Gerald Moser of Carrollton, Beverly Wade of Smithville, and Patricia Lehman of Orrville.

 

The family is hosting times on Saturday and Sunday at their home for visitors. For those who wish, please come by the house to share memories of Connie and comfort the family.  Hours will be:

Saturday (September 2nd) 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Sunday (September 3rd) 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Contact the family for an address to the home.

 

A service will be held on Friday evening (September 1st) at Smithville Mennonite Church, 6097 Akron Road, Smithville at 7:00 p.m. with the church being open at 6:00 p.m.

 

The family wishes to thank Ohio Hospice LifeCare for their compassionate and excellent care of Connie during her final days and hours.
