Courtney Christene Reubin, 34, of Dixon, IL, too beautiful for this life, passed on to the next unexpectedly on Monday, November 6, 2023, in Sterling, IL.
Courtney was born on February 20, 1989, the daughter of Merry Gatliff and David Reubin, who both preceded her in death. She graduated from Dixon High School in 2007. She enjoyed many things in life despite her struggles. She enjoyed music, dancing, and having meaningful talks with her friends. Courtney was the person who would give someone the shirt off her back, always believed in second chances, and true love. Courtney loved to make those around her laugh until she would inevitably snort, which was contagious to those around her. If you knew her, you loved her. The thing Courtney loved most in life were her two children.
Courtney is survived by her son, Alexander "Alex" Cole Reubin; her daughter, Elaine "Lainey" Christene Reubin; her unbiological sister, Kayla Holloway, and her children; unbiological mom, Jan Perce; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
Courtney was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of Memorial Service at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Worship Ministries Center, 403 N. Ottawa Ave, Dixon, IL, with Pastor Michael Cole, officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be directed to the family for her children's futures.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, in Dixon.
