Cynthia Kay Humpolick, known affectionately as Cindy to her friends and family, was called to her eternal home on July 23, 2025. Cindy was born on May 31, 1957, in the peaceful town of
Chardon, Ohio, and spent her final moments surrounded by the love of her family in Middlefield, Ohio. A Christian by faith, she lived a life that exemplified the virtues of love, kindness, and friendship.
Cindy was a proud graduate of Newbury High School. Her educational journey there laid the foundation for a life filled with curiosity. She found her calling in serving the Amish community as an "Amish taxi," providing transportation and forming lasting bonds with those she served. Her work was not a job; it was a ministry of presence, where she shared her warmth and friendliness with everyone she met.
Family was the cornerstone of Cindy's life. She was a loving mother to her sons, Adam and Matt, and her daughter, Nicole. Her ex-husband, Larry, her sister Cathy, her brother Mickey, and her niece Bobbi Jo, all held special places in her heart. Each family gathering was brightened by her presence, her laughter, and the loving tales she would share.
Cindy's Christian faith was her guiding light, shaping her actions and interactions with the world around her. She lived her beliefs through acts of kindness and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Her heart was as open as her door, always welcoming to those in need of comfort or a listening ear.
Cindy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A lover of nature, she adored camping with her family. She was an avid solver of sudoku puzzles, which reflected her patience, and her garden was a testament to her dedication and nurturing spirit. Her love for horses was evident in her care for these majestic creatures and involvement in 4-H. An insatiable reader, she could often be found lost in the pages of a book, exploring new worlds and ideas.
Cindy's legacy is one of love and friendship. She was the embodiment of a life well-lived, a life that was dedicated to her family, her faith, and her community. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to live with kindness and to cherish the bonds of family and friendship.
As we bid farewell to Cynthia Kay Humpolick, we celebrate a life that was a beacon of light to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her spirit, characterized by love and friendliness, will remain with us, guiding us through the gardens of our own lives. Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her influence will continue to blossom in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace in the loving embrace of her Creator, where she will forever be remembered and cherished.
