Dagmar Delores Johnson Callaway

Callaway -Dagmar Delores Johnson Callaway, age 91, of Callahan, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 26, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on October 5, 1931, to the late Warren O. Johnson and Betty Bandy Johnson in Washington, District of Columbia. Dagmar graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics and was a substitute teacher for Dekalb County school system. She was a former member of Orange Park Methodist Church, the Rotary Club of Clayton, Georgia and Orange Park, Florida, and the Junior League along with several other charitable organizations within the Atlanta, Georgia area. Dagmar was very active. She traveled to all 50 states and rode her stationary bike the equivalent of two times around the world. In her free time, Dagmar enjoyed working daily in her garden, loved to read books and was an avid bridge player. Dagmar is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William S. Callaway, Jr.; grandson, Chad Callaway.
Dagmar leaves behind her loving children, William S. Callaway, III (Claudia), Warren Jason Callaway (Pam Hunter), Caralyn C. Williams (Jeff), Robert P. Callaway; grandchildren, Michael Griner, Catharine Griner, Brittney Johnson (Justin), Grace Callaway, Chase Callaway (Bree); 5 great grandchildren; brother, Russell W. Johnson (Kathleen).
