Danny Lee Smith, age 70 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday afternoon, September 23, 2023.
Dan was born on July 12, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of Samie C. and Rita F. (Land) Smith. He is survived by his mother: Rita F. Smith of Indianapolis. He is preceded in death by his father Samie C. Smith.
Dan married Star Smith on July 1, 1972 in Indianapolis. He is survived by his wife Star Smith of Indianapolis.
Two children: his son Donald “Heath” Smith of Greenfield, Indiana and daughter Theresa (husband John) Smith-Dill of New Palestine, Indiana.
Four grandchildren: Haley Smith, Baylee Dill, Eric Smith and Alex Dill.
His siblings: Karen (husband Steve) Anthis of Shelbyville, Indiana, Jim (wife Brenda) Smith of Shelbyville, Indiana, Brian (wife Emily) Smith of Monticello, Indiana, and Ann (husband Shane) Fleming of Trafalgar, Indiana.
One uncle: William Kelley of Westfield, Indiana.
Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives survive.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229.
His funeral service will follow on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 4:00 PM also at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center.
