To the Brown family,
We are sorry for the loss of your loved one. May the comforting words from family and friends continue to strengthen you, and the fond memories of your loved one continue to provide comfort to you.
May you find a measure of peace in God's promises found in the last book of the Holy Scriptures 21:4..."And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

Mr.& Mrs. Brown, Family & Friends, My love and prayers go out to you. May the Lord lift the heavy burden from your heart. I share in your loss and shed many tears with you. I cannot begin to imagine the pain the family is going through. We must be strong and remember Dave and the others were doing what they loved and lived their dream. I was a member of the NASA/KSC,FL Family until 10/00. Met and talked with several of the astronauts and had conversations with Dave. I have several photographs of him with myself and several KSC Co-workers. I have always kept one picture of Dave and myself on my desk at work...proud to let people know who he was! I will always hold Dave, the rest of the Columbia Crew, family, and friends in my heart and prayers. Love to all of you and God Bless,
Debbie

I am so very sorry for your loss. God has a plan for us all. So many times we don't understand why things happen they way they do. Please know that David is in a much better place than we are and one day you will be joined with him again. His soul and spirit will live in the hearts of us all forever. When you feel sad, go outside and look up in the Heavens and find that special star. (It helps!) My prayers will be with you and remember...God loves you. He will help you through this.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds,--and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless falls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, nor eer eagle flew--
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high, untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

When You First Saw Heaven
When you first saw Heaven was it shiny and gold"
Were there jewels and crowns and riches untold?
Did you talk to Moses, Daniel, and Paul?
Were you amazed at the beauty you saw?
When you first saw Jesus what was He like?
Were His eyes full of love and His arms open wide?
Did you bow at His feet? Did you gaze at his face,
With thankful heart for His mercy and grace?
Does He shine like the sun from His head to His toes?
Did He hold you in His lap saying "Child, welcome home"?
We're sad you're not here. We'll all shed some tears.
But our hearts will smile when we think of your years.
We know you're in a perfect place,
Looking at Jesus face to face.
My condolences to the Family of David Brown.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown,
I viewed your interview last evening with Larry King, and wish to share with you our heartfelt sympathy at the loss of your son, David. You both exhibited tremendous strength and pride in sharing your precious memories of David. I'm certain he's very proud of you, too, for sharing his voice with the world.
My husband is a professional corporate pilot. He acquired his training in the U.S. Army and flew in Vietnam. He loves his profession, and always told me that should he ever perish during flight, I should always remember that he departed Earth doing what he loved; flying. Now David shall fly with God's Angels. His death cannot diminish the wonderful ways he's touched others lives. Love remains forever! God bless you.

To the Brown Family, You are in our hearts, The sorrow you have is shared by millions accross the world.
David soared through the skies to the heavens above. G-d held his hand as he soared through space to see the wonders of the world. G-d decided to take David from the earth and He became Part of the Heaven. When I look into the stars at night, I know that because of David and the other 6 astronaut and the sacrafice that they gave to further our future lives in space. David is a Hero.
May G-d bless your family in their time of sorrow, May they find Peace when the look into the stars, and know that David is beside G-d looking over them.
Godspeed to your family and those whom worked with David at NASA, may they continue through life not looking at the Tragedy of what happen of the end of his life, but the beauty in which he lived his life.
G-d Bless
