David Michael Eddy, 50, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at his home in
Culpeper, Virginia. He was born on December 8, 1972 in New York to Gary H. and Marcia A. (Alberding) Eddy.
For 17 years, David worked for his family's business, GEM Construction Company. Additionally, he was employed by various non-profit organizations in the Manassas/Warrenton area. He also worked as a Personal Trainer and was a member of Gold's Gym.
After several years of taking Tai Kwan Do, Dave later pursued bodybuilding. He participated in the Mr. Teenage D.C. Bodybuilding Competition when he was 18 and won Second Place. He enjoyed working out and weight-training and was even able to build some of his own workout equipment using his carpentry skills.
Some of the things that Dave also enjoyed were fishing, playing pool, armwrestling, watching the Washington Capitals Hockey games, watching football and playing his guitar. He enjoyed sharing stories with his friends and family, especially if he could make a few people laugh.
His love for animals showed his gentle, caring spirit. He loved the beach, the ocean and beautiful sunsets. He was a devout Catholic who loved God and appreciated everything he was given in life.
David is survived by his mother, Marcia Eddy, of Culpeper; two sisters, Susan Berry, of MD, and Kristen Reynolds, of Manassas, VA; one nephew, Matthew Eddy, of MD; and three cousins, Shawn Davis, of
Waterville, NY, Cindy Murphy, of
Skaneateles, NY, and Tina Sykes, of
Oriskany Falls, NY.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gary H. Eddy.
