He was born to Waymon and Aren Audice Williams Kemp in Sylvania, GA. He was employed with Massey Ferguson, EMT, had driven a log truck, and retired from M.I. as a maintenance mechanic. Never one to stay idle, he was employed with Possum Eddy Hardware until his health would not permit. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn, watching softball and baseball, and tinkering. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Myrtle Kemp and H. L. Kemp.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly Kemp of Statesboro, Kandace and Jeff Double of Brooklet, Charley and Dustin McMillan of Sylvania; grandchildren, Jordan and Junior Cryder, Jarrett and Caitlin McBride, Leah Vangiller, Gray Double, Wesley Bo Double, Drake Double, Kellan McMillan, and Sailor McMillan; great-grandchildren, Gadson McBride, Josephine "Josie" McBride; brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Barbara Kemp of Augusta and Ottis Kemp of Sylvania.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00-6:00pm at the Joiner Anderson Funeral Home Screven Chapel.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
