Dennis John Niskanen Passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 64. He was born in Duluth, MN on February 9, 1959 and was a resident of Duluth ever since. He was an avid sports fan whether that was playing baseball, cheering for the Cubs or watching football. Dennis was old school, funny and a very kind soul. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, Bianca and Eino Niskanen and his niece, Dawn Duvall. Survived by his sister, Greta Marlene; nieces and nephews, Jacqueline Duvall, Joseph Awad, Suzanne Awad Johnson, Amira Awad Shannon, Tina Marie and many great-nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Mike Solon, Bryan Brown and Frank Wrazidlo. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. Second Street, Duluth with a Visitation beginning at 10am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
