Derek Jon Gerdes

Derek was an awesome person and teammate. He could always be counted on for a smile or encouraging words, he was never too busy to ask how you were doing or share stories of his latest endeavors. We hadn't spoken in years due to retirement and moves, but he is missed. Rest in Peace Derek.

Sincere condolences to Derek´s family and friends. He was an exceptional soldier and a VERY GOOD MAN! It was an honor to serve with him. His legacy will always be remembered. A heartfelt salute to Derek and may he rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Derek´s passing. I had the honor of serving alongside him in the Unit and later working with him, and I´ll always remember his dedication, integrity, and sense of camaraderie. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
