Taggart, Diego Miguel, 18 of Galloway passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
Diego was born on December 3, 2003 to James & Sonia Odeth Taggart. He attended Assumption Regional School and went on to graduate from Holy Spirit High School in 2022. Diego planned to begin college in the fall and then flight school to become a pilot. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish.
Diego was in his 2nd year as a Lifeguard for the Atlantic City Beach Patrol. He was an Eagle Scout from BSA Troop 76, Galloway, NJ and enjoyed camping and being outdoors.
Diego was an avid surfer and could always be found by his father's side chasing and riding waves all year long regardless of the weather. He was an outstanding athlete and prioritized keeping his body in good physical condition by working out daily at the gym. He loved to run and enjoyed being his mother's personal trainer. He enjoyed having his mom to run and work out with him. In addition to his enthusiasm for athletics and sports, his creative and bright personality shined through in his art and love of music. He loved spending time with his parents and grandparents. Diego's best friend was his twin brother, Eduardo. They spent most of their time together and always looked out for each other.
He is predeceased by his Maternal Grandmother, Sonia de Carias, and his uncle, Giovanni Carias
Diego is survived by his loving parents; Sonia and James Taggart, Jr., his twin brother, Eduardo James Taggart, his paternal grandfather, James Taggart, his paternal grandmother, Anne Marie Taggart, his maternal grandfather, Miguel Angel Carias, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm at the Wimberg Funeral Home 211 East Great Creek Road, Galloway, NJ 08205. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Assumption Church 146 S Pitney Rd, Galloway, NJ 08205. Burial will be private.
