Dorothy Marie Johnson [nee Carrigan] (age 77) of Madisonville, Ohio passed away on the evening of January
28th, 2025. She was born to the late William Carrigan and Clara Carrigan [Stover] on February 26th, 1947, in
Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dot graduated from Marian High School in 1965. After graduating she married her late husband Robert Johnson in 1967. Dot spent most of her life in Madisonville raising her children. She also held an incredibly active role in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dot loved shopping, be it at Yard Sales on the weekends with her sister or watching QVC to see what gifts she could buy for the grandkids.
She enjoyed a nice cup of coffee (some may have called it creamer, with a dash of coffee) and biscotti. In her
free time, Dot could be found sitting on her porch enjoying the flowers and birds. Dot had a green thumb and
would take in plants from family members and revive them with no effort needed. Despite not having a pet of
her own for many years, Dot loved animals and never passed up a chance to pet the various, dogs, bunnies,
and other furry friends within the family. Dot was known for her extreme love for those around her. She was
always ready to help family and friends whenever she received a call. Dot created a home that was always
filled with laughter, loud voices, and children as far as you could see.
Dot has joined her beloved husband Robert Johnson in Heaven. Dot was also preceded by her mother, Clara, and Father, William Carrigan, along with her sister and brother-in-law Carol and Harold Muse, as well as her granddaughter Sierra. She is survived by her children Amie (Tim) Schneider, Robby Johnson, Lisa (Scott) Opp, Lori Johnson, and Erin (Jason) Kabel.
Dot also had 23 grandchildren and their spouses, Lindsay (Taylor), Savanna, Ricky, Holly, Hanna (Billy), Gus
(Jesse), Aaron (Cheyenne), Jordan (Monique), Clara (Erik), Cayla (Tyler), Timmy (Sofia), Anthony (Haily),
Kyle, Hanna (Nick), Jake, Ally, Abbi, Laina, Bree, Ali, Kyndall, Amaya, and Cody. Dot was also a Great
Grandmother to Chloe, Bryson, Luke, Larkin, Easton, Raydyn, Melody, Harmony, Kai, Waylon, Lincoln, Asher,
Grace, Layla, Whitley, August, and Robby.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3rd from 11AM until the time of a blessing at 12 Noon at Thomas= Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood.
