Early Brown

Mr. Early Carroll Brown, 72, of Grenada, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at his residence. He was born April 8, 1951 in Calhoun County to Ottis M. and Dollie Anglin Brown. Early enjoyed a career spanning over 49 years at Heatcraft and ADP in Grenada. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church near Bruce and faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church in Grenada. Early was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed building useful things such as gun cabinets and bookcases for others to enjoy. He was the definition of a handyman and could easily fix anything around the house. He will be missed for many years to come.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Aaron Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Bruce. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday evening and one hour prior to the service Wednesday all at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Brenda Tharpe Brown; two daughters, Dawn Marascalco(Vince) of Grenada and Amanda Brown of Grenada; one son, Shane Brown(Donna) of Holcomb; one sister, Angie Shows(James) of Bruce; four brothers, Emmitt Brown(Thelma) of Coffeeville, Larry Brown(Gloria) of Paris, James Brown(Paula) of Southaven and William Brown of Bruce; three grandchildren, Joey Brown, Calop Brown(Olivia) and Anna Claire Marascalco and a close friend, Wayne Stark.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Brown and Joey Oll Brown and a nephew, Adam Brown.
Pallbearers will be Henry Bailey, Pat Chaney, Nathan Harris, Ashton Hollis, Benjamin Marascalco and Trey Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Archie England, David Kilgore, Ben McElwrath, Barry Rounsaville and Steve Simko.
