Edith Brumley

Edith Brumley, age 86 of Nancy, KY and formerly of Florence, KY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. She was born and raised on the family farm in Owsley County. After graduating high school in 1956, she moved to Cincinnati, OH to begin her working career as well as meeting her husband, Herman, of 66 years. Edith had a heart for helping people and loved unconditionally. She loved planting a garden and canning her green beans. An exceptional cook, especially her fried chicken, "southern" breakfasts, and her gift of baking and sharing her Christmas cookies. She was preceded in passing by her Parents, William P. and Addie Moore; Siblings, Audrey Moore, Hazel June Middleton, Edgar Moore, and Fred Moore; Son Donald "Donnie" Brumley. Edith is survived by her Husband, Herman Brumley, Daughter Beverly Rusk (Tom), Grandchildren, Candace Jones, Sean Rusk, and Krystal Alcorn and Great Grandchildren Mason, Gavin, Cole, Blayke, and Sayler, and many Family Members including Nieces and Nephews as well as many Dear Friends. Visitation will be from 10 AM – 12 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 12 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 US 42, Florence, KY 41042.
