Emily Jensen Oberlin

Emily Jensen Oberlin, 85, beloved wife of the late Alan F. Oberlin, of Elim Park Baptist Home, Cheshire, passed away Feb. 22, 2010 after a brief illness. She was born in West Haven a daughter of the late Peter C. and Ella A.D. Petersen Jensen and had resided in West Haven during her youth and Hamden from 1947 to 2007 when she moved to Cheshire. Emily was a lifelong active member of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Woodbridge where she sang in the choir and was a Deaconess. She graduated from West Haven HS, and Larson Jr. College, and was a legal secretary for the firm of Bronson & Rice for 20 years prior to her retirement. She is survived by her two sons, Rick and his wife Kathleen Oberlin of Rocky Hill, Paul Oberlin of Hamden, and a sister Muriel Jensen MacKenzie of Rocky Hill. She was predeceased by a sister Eleanor Jensen. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. in the Nelson Hall of Elim Park Baptist Home, 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire.
