Eual Odell Ray of Berryville died peacefully at his home on August 13, 2024, at the age of 86. Odell was born July 2, 1938, in Fresno, California to Emerson and Laura (Smith) Ray.
He attended high school in Berryville. Odell served in the National Guard. He moved to K.C. and worked in construction and was hired at Burlington Northern Railroad, while also working part time pouring concrete. After retiring from the railroad, he and his wife Evelyn continued farming and raising registered limousine cattle.
Odell was a member of Golden Baptist Church for 40 years. He always shared the good news of Jesus.
Odell was survived by his daughters Kimberly Armstrong, Robin Arnold, Denise Vanhook; son Gene Ray; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; siblings Myra Brock and husband Don, Christine Ray; along with other family members and friends.
He is preceded by his parents Emerson and Laura Ray; wife Evelyn (Matthews) Ray; daughter Leslie Ray; grandson Josh Bailey; brothers Lonnie Ray, and Roy Ray.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Monday, August 19, 2024, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Brother Randy Williams officiating. Interment will follow at High Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to High Cemetery, c/o Randy Hooten, 1057 CR 422, Berryville, AR 72616. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
