Faye A. Marrapodi

Faye A. "Fannie" Marrapodi, 99, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 12, 2011 at her residence in Columbia, MD. Born in New York City, NY, she resided in Somerville, Piscataway, and Martinsville before moving to Maryland seven years ago. Faye was an accomplished seamstress, working for Chick Frocks in Bound Brook, retiring in 1975. She was an active member of the Bridgewater Senior Citizens and a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Joseph J. Marrapodi; her sisters, Agnes Holub, Mildred Belanger, Mary DeBaro, Rose Delserro; and her brother, Samuel DeVito. Surviving are her loving son, Joseph F. Marrapodi and his wife, Cynthia (Barber); her grandsons, Craig and Christopher Marrapodi; her cherished great-granddaughters, Gabrielle and Alyssa Marrapodi; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9 AM on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1890 Washington Valley Road, Martinsville. Interment will be in Bound Brook Cemetery, Mountain Ave., Bound Brook. Viewing hours will be Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
