Francis Katherine Shogren

I taught 4th grade with Fran for several years at Stepney Elementary. I was hired to teach the Friday before Labor Day. Students were coming in on Tuesday. I was told to go to the school and set up my classroom. I went to school with nothing. I don´t think I expected to be hired on the spot. Fran came to my rescue and set up my classroom with me and got me started on those first day of school activities. I will never forget her willingness to help! She was an amazing teacher and colleague!
