Dear Judy, Ann, Sue and all family of this very special man I got to call friend (and second father) . . . Fred (and Mary) came into my life and welcomed me into their home and family at a critical time during my teenage years. They offered a safe, stable, normal and loving environment -- complete with all the Fred rules and regs (I didn't mind one bit!) --that I needed and appreciated. Together, they became lifelong friends (Mary was my Matron of Honor!), my adoptive parents. Relationships that I treasured and held dear. I loved them both. Mary's passing a few years ago left a crack in my heart and now that Fred has joined her it feels like I've read the final chapter of a book that I didn't want to end. But -- 96 years! How amazing. Fred deserves to rest and be re-united with his Mary. With heartfelt condolences, Karen.
