Gabby Pruitt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gabrielle "Gabby" Marie (Cordova) Pruitt on Friday, November 19, 2022, at the young age of 29. Gabrielle was a loving mother, wife and daughter. She was born in Las Vegas, NM to John Cordova & Sharleen on February 10, 1993. She was raised in Rainsville, NM and following graduation, began her journey to becoming a nurse at Luna Community College. She worked as a CNA and will be missed by co-workers and residents alike. She has four beautiful children, whom she loved so very dearly and a husband that she loved to the ends of the earth. If you were not touched by her soul, then you never really met her. She was the kindest, sweetest, sometimes feistiest, loving soul. There are no words that will describe how much she will be missed, or to describe the impact she had on your heart.
With loving memories, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Deacon Reynaldo Cordova, as well as paternal and maternal great grandparents and other extended family members.
Gabrielle is survived by her loving husband, Justin Pruitt and beautiful children: Matthew Sandoval, Allison Foster, Calvin Foster, and Jaxxon Pruitt of Portales, NM; her loving sister Amber Elliott (George) and nieces, VyletteHouk, Jeanette Houk, and Hayley Elliott of Grimes, IA; her brother Andrew McFadden and son Zayden McFadden of Alpena, MI; her brother-in-law Tanner Pruitt (Crystal) and niece Casie Pruitt of Grand Prairie, TX; her father, John Cordova (Carol) of Chamita, NM; her mother Sharleen McFadden (Patrick) of Portales, NM; her father-in-law Jon Pruitt of Easley, SC; and her grandparents: Mary & Rick Anderson of Irving, TX; Evelyn Cordova of Rainsville, NM; Linda Guess McCurry (John) of Slaughters, KY; Johnny & Sylvia Maldonado of Las Vegas, NM; Anita Montano-Maes (George) of Ilfeld, NM; Danny Ortiz (Michaele) of Santa Fe, NM; Eunice & George Pruitt of Grand Prarie, TX; Vera Trujillo of Jaconita, NM; and numerous aunts & uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the First Baptist Church (located at 100 S Avenue C, in Portales, NM) with Reverend Phillip Smith officiating. A rosary, followed by the funeral mass will be recited on December 3, 2022 at 9:30AM at St. Gertrude's Church (located at 1 Church Plaza in Mora, NM), with Father Dale Craig S.O.L.T. as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (located in Rainsville, NM). Urn bearer will be Justin Pruitt. Honorary urn bearers will be Matthew Sandoval, Allison Foster, Calvin Foster, and Jaxxon Pruitt.
