Gerald Wayne Bateman

Gerald Wayne Bateman, age 72, passed away at Willow brook Manor December 8, 2024. Gerald was born in Paragould, Ark, the son of Gerald B. and Dorsie (Reed) Bateman. He was joined in marriage to Karen Sexton, June 8, 1985, in Corunna, MI. Gerald loved playing pool and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed attending the softball and baseball events of his grandchildren. Gerald was a very hard worker and was employed by General Motors, retiring after 36 years. Gerald his survived by his wife Karen, children Lisa Bateman, Lindi Saylor, Jennifer (Michael) Oldrham, grandchildren Haley Saylor, Natalie Oldrham, Hunter Oldrham, Joseph Case and several great grandchildren, siblings Linda Potter, Robert (Noeleta) Bateman, Mike Bateman and special friend Noel Fletcher. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Dosie Bateman, brother and his wife Bill and Becky Bateman. Cremation has taken place at the request of his family.
