Gordon Wayne Hilpert ,Sr.

Indian Valley native Gordon Wayne Hilpert, Sr. age 45 passed from this life early Sunday morning July 18th, 2004 at Indian Valley District Hospital with family at his side. Born to California natives Firmstone and Eleanore Hilpert on January 30th, 1959 in Greenville, California he attended Greenville Elementary and High School. Gordon had worked in the timber industry for twenty two years lastly for Indian Head Logging of Indian Valley while also working as a ranch hand for the Neff Family Ranch of Genesee Valley, CA. Gordon enjoyed the outdoors thru fishing, golf, baseball and gold panning. An accomplished horseshoe pitcher he was a longtime member of the Indian Valley Horseshoe Club while also enjoying croquet. Gordon is survived by his wife Merrillee Washoe Hilpert whom he married August 9th, 1986 in Reno, Nevada, son, Gordon Hilpert Jr. of Greenville, CA, daughter and son-in-law Eleanor and Miguel Hilpert-Esteban of Placerville, CA, brothers, Mervin Hilpert of Greenville, CA, Marvin Hilpert of Los Molinos, CA and Gridley Hilpert of Sun Valley, Nevada, sisters, Diana Hilpert-Blevins, Marian Hilpert and Toni Hilpert Hovland all of Greenville, CA along with Lynn Hilpert Brown of Huntington Beach, CA. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday July 23rd at 5:00 p.m. thru Saturday July 24th at 10:00 a.m. at the Indian Mission Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Greenville with cremation following at Fehrman Crematory located in Quincy, CA.
