Harold Hudson

Hudson, Harold Jerome "Hal" of Fox Run Senior Living Community, Novi Michigan died Thursday September 8, 2022, at 98 years of age. Born July 22, 1924, in Royal Oak Michigan to William and Leila Hudson. Harold graduated from Royal Oak High School where he was a class officer for the class of 1942. During World War II he enlisted as a cadet in the vaunted Navy V-5 program and trained as a fighter pilot. He graduated from Michigan State College, where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Harold had a long successful career as manager for the Ross Operating Valve company of Detroit and later Herion in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Harold was a dedicated father and grandfather, and an avid golfer into his early 90's. He particularly enjoyed spending time at the family summer cottage at Hillsboro Beach in Southern Ontario, Canada. Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn, son Patrick, brother Clarence ("Cal"), and sister Marjorie. He is survived by his son Jeffrey (Heidi), and two grandsons, Warren and William (Samantha), great grandson Oliver, and his special friend Alice Lyons. Harold's last years and final days would not have been possible without the caring assistance provided by Annette White, to whom the family is extremely grateful. Memorial service Saturday, September 17, 11:30 am at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (4 Blks E of Woodward), Royal Oak The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind.
